WE NEED LADY LESSONS

or maybe we should just make up our own. So, what we've come up with so far:

How To Be A Lady:

Lesson 1: To come across as elegant and classy, purchase a flagon of cider (cheapest possible, preferably tesco value €3.49) when your out drinking.
Say no when someone offers you a glass. Instead drink straight from the bottle in big glugs. When sitting down place it in between your legs and say no if someone asks for some, unless they have something to offer you. This makes you come across as business minded and strong independent feminist.

Lesson 2: A bra is a chic option for clothing on any given day or event whether it being business or pleasure. However if your bra is sheer it is key to wear your sheer top over it (refer to photograph #17) also, choosing a cutesy print on your bra such as floral fools people into thinking your less of a slut.

Just a couple to get you thinking; if you have any lessons yourselves please leave them below. This will probably make it's way into a book or movie as it's a pressing issue in today's society. Times are tough Lord we know, but that doesn't mean you forget about elegance, grace and timeless style ;;)

I had a list full of things to do today but I always find myself spending the most time on the 'pointless' things such as gemming my phone, painting a new picture for my wall, dressing up, rooting through old cupboards, going on adventures or talking to pomp; the local heroin addict.

Then I notice it's 5 o' clock and the banks are closed and I can't ring the housing people or send off that contract or bla bla bla,,. but I've come to realize that none of these things matter. nothing matters. nothing matters. nothing matters. stop pushing yourself to do stupid things, do the stupider things, just not the soulless things. Stop worrying about success and money or what people think and deadlines. Because, nothing matters!

I am selling all of my clothes bar my shorts, those t-shirts and one going out dress. I have all my clothes in black bags piled on top of one another in my spare wardrobe.
I'm going to have all my girl/gay friends over to buy them and drink cocktails at my place this or next week to sell them all for a couple € we can drink and dress up and you can bring your clothes to swap or something.
I just want to eradicate soulless things from my days. Like trawling through my wardrobe to choose something to wear to just throw on the same t-shirt that's never been washed for an unknown reason.

I am back! I have been busy working on art and now have things to show you! I am working in a beautiful shop in Temple Bar called Lucy's Lounge. It's down in this pink basement and every part of it has something to look at. Toy soldiers stuck to old bed frames with handmade necklaces, headbands and bracelets strewn through the loops. A rack full of antique wedding dresses that are just begging for the over application of tulle to be ripped off so you can wear them with dirty boots. Basically a treasure trove and I'm so happy to be involved with what it is because I so believe in everything is stands for. Over the next few weeks I will be taking lots of photos on my new 35mm camera. I figured the only way I could truly get into film is if I sold my digital so that's what I did. I'm packing it off tomorrow without the slightest feeling of regret.

My bag was stolen last week, it looks like a dirty rag. Just a plain cotton bag I've been carrying around for over a year. But in it was my life. Or at least a lovely part of it; my camera, my ipod, my keys, a little book of poems I'd been writing, a couple of rings, lip liner, marbles, some things I had picked up on the street to stick on my wall, and other things I've forgotten about but will remember one day. A flicker of wonder running across my face only to be reminded that it was in that bag.
I wasn't too upset however, possessions come and go. And we can't become that attached to anything really. Or anyone. That's something I've been learning the past while but always tend to forget. I think that over the past year my heart has become lovely and calloused lovely. If I could play the guitar with my calloused heart I would play it very well.
These were taken a few days ago. On a film camera I bought a on ebay a year ago. The first couple of photos were nice memories form a long time ago. Then as it went on there were a few that pang at a time not so long ago but feeling further than ever and something I am trying to forget but it keeps creeping up the back of my neck.

the beginnings of a new drawing that is taking a lot longer than it should. the click of the pencil scratching across the page, little flex searing out. Hands shaking. I'm not quite sure what I should be making or where I should be drawing from. The pit of my stomach, my calloused heart, broken memories from the past year or two. Everything is just a notion, memories are strange things. As soon as it stops fluttering around your blood it's only a story and may not even be real. Nothing is real once it's gone, you can hold onto memories but there really isn't much point. Especially if it's only you. Then one day you might bump into one another in a small pub in town, it's your friends birthday. You can't speak for long, but you do anyway. Outside, the air feels fresh on your skin so you light up a cigarette. Your eyes are locked like you both have a secret, that only you know. Though, only you know that you both probably aren't feeling the same thing no matter how much your eyes say so. You talk about what happened and why, he gives you reasons that you will force into place even if they don't fit. He gives you his coat and you feel ugly because it hides your dress and makes you look fat. You know you shouldn't go back to his, you know it will never end well.

what I love about photos is that they can bring you back to a place or a scent or even, so much the opposite that your staring at the shiny rectangle and cannot imagine being back there. I like photos with a certain secret emotive that only the taker and the people in the photo can connect to. But a picture can say a thousand words and with these words so strong in my mind; things that have been happening. That will forever be etched inside, somewhere. I have come back from London with equal measures of longing and sweaty inspiration. The longing to be free and the soaking up of the fact that even though it may only be a forty minute plane ride the difference over there is that of another planet. I need to click click away as I have been flitting like a butterfly's wing the past while. a week of not posting have led to this, and a rather futile attempt at college work. I have been making art every chance I can get, due to this constant itch to create that has come from a period of stagnation. I like to think of it as a time to collect thoughts and ideas until it just bursts.orgasms, whatever. I've gotten to the point where I can't throw anything out; a cardboard toilet roll that instead of putting in the bin would make a much more obvious angel. Jars just to put beads, or strange finds in and placing next to my bed just for something to stare at in those first moments of waking. This morning I stared in a daze at a painted paper moon hanging from my ceiling for a good ten minutes before snapping out of it and getting up to get my toast. When your quiet you can hear all sorts of things.

I've been bad with posting, so I'm going to post every day for the next week to get better. I have shoots and other stuff planned and lots in my head that needs to get done because it's seeping in more and more and it can't get lost in there.

One of my new years resolutions was to draw something everyday. So far I've kept it and it's been lovely to have something at the end of each day that I've created. A drawing doesn't have to be pencil to paper it can be anything. Drips down a canvas, writing, monoprint swirls, sewing into things, printing, moving your spit into a heart shape. Just capturing something.

So I've been doing all of that as much as I can and am already beginning to see things differently.

9 Crow Street is Dublin's newest jewel. Right in the soul of temple bar by the side entrance of urban outfitters. Dean, Emma and Edel the beauties opened it and have such an exciting vision for it. When you go inside you are emcompossed by the mood of the place. It's like that fizzing sound a firework makes just before it explodes into the sky. Or the calm before the storm. It's just begun but it's something that Dublin has needed for so long now. It's a vintage store with so many gems I can't even begin. I was going for a suburban 1970's american look with this shoot and all the clothes are from the store. The amazing thing about the shop is that they are also using it as a platform for artists and musicians. Dublin has been begging for something like this and it's so exciting because here it is. it's been a mush.cold,inside little outside but frozen fingers resulting to lack of motivation for taking photos. so sorry for lack of posting. we took these yesterday in the few moments we escaped from church to the flats around the corner. today it started snowing again. hard, so I'll be monging about tomorrow taking photos of pretty pink skies~*maybe. yesterday we went to the forest and decided to strip off in the depth of it because we thought no one would see but as soon as I had my clothes off an old man appeared through the bushes with his dog. From then on we were for too scared and cold to take any more photos so these three are the only good ones we got. Anyway, that night I vommed and I have a feeling it had to do with me refusing to wear proper clothing in the snow so I must start, just as the snow is beginning to melt.

it's been snowing so much the past few days the whole country has come to a stand still and everyones just inside watching white flecks thicken. I think I'm one of the only people who is still secretly in love with it. It's just like heaven. I'll never tire of that crunch sound it makes when you step out on it. I remember I had this book when I was little about a family of mice and one day they went to the beach and got ice-cream and the smallest mouse asked why ice-cream can't come warm. I wish the snow was actually warm cream and we could roll around in it and being hit by a snow ball for 'being a goth' wouldn't be so bad.

These are just some images I had saved on my computer that need to be put.somewhere, tomorrow I'm going to venture outside for longer than half an hour and take some pictures although it's not as beautiful as it was. Still quite lovely.

I have the tendency to be quite obsessive and last week a new obsession was born, or more one of fascination. Last weekend my sister made us sit down and watch the movie elephant which pissed me off because I was missing xfactor. It was loosely based on the Columbine shootings. So after watching we starting researching what really happened, becoming totally entrapped in the mystery of the unknown. Like dumbfounded. I found an ad for zero day on youtube after watching CCTV footage of eric and dylan in the school-and listening to the 911 calls~I love the internet it feeds my insanity~and It's the best movie I've seen in so long. It just moistens enough but not too much so that your still left with space for more. Even the trailer is perfect. There's a few movies that seem to seep within my pores and never leave. They give off a scent or a warmth that just stay with you and flutter when you see something that reminds you of it. It's a different way of looking like the way someones lips move or the way the shadow of a tree moves across the front of the house across the road. That pink dribble falling from the bite of a watermelon. Do you see where it falls or does it disappear like a spider in a crack in the wall. That's the point though. It never fully disappears.

So this movie is one that's instilled with me. And the story of Eric and Dylan will forever, captivate me, it's like when your mum first tells you about space. You just can't get your head around it. And you sit in the back of the car with white noise surrounding you trying to fathom how we are tiny tiny people in this unknown universe.

This is Orla, my beautiful friend who I haven't seen in over a week but it's felt like much more. Tonight we embraced-had wine and ChAtTeD aBoUt BoYz N' OtHer CuTe n' FuN ThInGs. huhuu it feels weird writing this knowing that she'll read it and have that smile on her face, that knowing look and I'll die in a puddle of mortification and shame. Weeping and peeing and thirsty so drinking it. I cannot write something nice and lovely and truthful without stabilizing it with something equally vom worthy to settle my stomach.

So last weekend forever 21 opened in Dublin and it.is.so.bad.i.could.die like the accessories are ok. They put them in weird bowls and the rings were stuck to the cases so you could only try them on but not buy the one on show and then would have to route around the bowls to find it. I mean, stress of that. The clothes are a bit too Polish/American for my liking; corduroy leggings. That's all I have to say. You could knock down the wall between forever 21 and the equally hideous new look that's beside it and no one would notice the difference.

We went to an american apparel late night sale the other night and got free drink and delish treats and I wept in anger because I couldn't afford the long sheer skirt. Only the lace bicycle shorts: WhY iZ Lyf So HaRd? But I'm going to try and make myself one tonight because I'm a fashion student so it should be easy right?

Also, does anyone know how I can align my blog to the center? I don't get any of this and it's just so not helping my ocd that it's aligned to the right and I can't figure it out-cryyy

O iz been a good week, so far I've gone into college everyday and I feel so like pro active and all like eating apples and UGH soz but this cat is beside me and stinx like I don't be knowing why but UHR. Anyway so iz good, I go in everyday and then work some at night on whatever I have to do like those little elves who made the shoes at night what was that story? Oh it was so cute. We had like a half hour chat about sabrina the teenage with in the canteen today and it made me feel all nostalgic about like going to school in the awkward teenage years. Coming home and having nout to do except watch sabrina and my mum would say ''you know you will grow out of this show'' and I would snap back ''how very dare you, I will always love sabreen''. And I do! I remember when she was Clarissa as well and on that amaze chest that was at the end of her bed it said baby prison. HERE:

they just don't be making jeans like that anymore. In other news It's horrendously cold so I'm living off soup and hot water bottles and feel kinda vile like sniffly and I just can't be arsed layering so I go into college wearing nothing and cry blue lips an all. But then it's so christmassy so I be happy and I am salivating at all the stuff I want. And I'm dying for my tree. I think I'm gonna do a Phoebe and get an old crap one and decorate it lovingly and gorg with tinsel. Now that I live on my own I can use tinsel. My mum always thought it was tack which is realli the whole point of Christmas but she always wanted a classy Christmas even splashing out on proper gold laced crackers which I don't be complaining about till I get a crap broken sharpener and get so agro about life and given out to. O iz dzying for ih!

I first got this album when I was 17 but after moving around a bit I lost it and have missed it so much ever since, no record shops had it or could order it in for me and loads of the songs weren't on youtube. It was distressing! It's always been my favourite album cover, just that perfect mix of beautiful and dirty. Like the songs, they are graphic, sad, dream like and Scottish. I made this video for my favourite song on the album, if not all time. I've never heard a better ending to a song, so listen through. Preferably with headphones lying down in bed, just about to fall asleep

tonight Fiona and Sarah came over after college both soaked and relatively pissed off with life. We all are at the moment to be honest but we had to do this shoot for Fiona's college, we were bitching at each other, nagging, slagging and just generally being moody unpleasant cruds but circling us always like an aura or something,,,is just so much love. not to sound horribly corny or anything but it just buzzes about like no other. we can say anything to each other and do anything with each other and nothing changes apart from us getting closer. We never get sick of each other, never misunderstand each other, never get embarrassed with each other. It's just so comforting and so necessary. They are my light, my sugar my salt. I feel like a bit of a knob writing so emotional, like an emo but I'm gagging at myself before slitting my wrists believe me. I use this blog as kind of a diary and usually speak in code and this is, in some way-code for something else but yes. well; that is all.
