My bag was stolen last week, it looks like a dirty rag. Just a plain cotton bag I've been carrying around for over a year. But in it was my life. Or at least a lovely part of it; my camera, my ipod, my keys, a little book of poems I'd been writing, a couple of rings, lip liner, marbles, some things I had picked up on the street to stick on my wall, and other things I've forgotten about but will remember one day. A flicker of wonder running across my face only to be reminded that it was in that bag.
I wasn't too upset however, possessions come and go. And we can't become that attached to anything really. Or anyone. That's something I've been learning the past while but always tend to forget. I think that over the past year my heart has become lovely and calloused lovely. If I could play the guitar with my calloused heart I would play it very well.
These were taken a few days ago. On a film camera I bought a on ebay a year ago. The first couple of photos were nice memories form a long time ago. Then as it went on there were a few that pang at a time not so long ago but feeling further than ever and something I am trying to forget but it keeps creeping up the back of my neck.

  1. I hope you find or return your bag. Or at least that was inside him. It's a shit. To me has happened to me yet, and I hope I pass.

Your photos seem precious. They are ethereal like magical.

    KiSSeS!^^

    Your little-cat is so sweet!!!

  2. That cat - especially in the photo where a look of sudden and startled bewilderment crosses his or her face (4th picture down) - is seriously sweet. An utterly adorable creature, no mistake.

(Bad luck about the bag, by the way. Against the calling of my better angels, I find that I now actively despise people who steal things. I'm never going to understand their mindset and I'm tired of trying to do so.)

  5. i hate the idea that stuff gets stolen that is of no use or real value to the thief, we struggle daily to get the things we have and to hold on to them, whether they be little personal possessions or big life changing relationships, sending you some love and vibes, that you can never lose and that will never make you feel sad. they are free form me to you. be well, YOU will always have greater love and luck as your life evolves. it has not yet been revealed to you what your purpose is, but I have no doubt form the first time i saw your images that it will be fulflling and rewarding.

  6. oooh dear having the bag stolen is so fuckin' annoying...but I agree with you that possessions come and go and we shouldn't be too attached to material stuff. (This is the mantra I have been repeating to myself when, the other day, I lost a ring bought only two days b4!!)
btw, the sexy cruchy stuff in the photo is HAIL! can you imagine that? being around in shorts and having the streets completely white and icy is quite nice!!! :)
